I heard mentions of Pintrest on Facebook and in blogs I follow, most recently my friend Jamie’s blog. She warned it will “suck you into an abyss of pretty, pretty things.” I clicked on, didn’t quite understand what I was supposed to do, then clicked off.

Then today another friend, Julia, mentioned Pintrest in a Facebook conversation. I asked her to send me an invite. Yes, you need to be invited, it’s fancy like that. So I sign up, I select things that interest me (kids, travel, food) and get flooded with a sea of random pictures. Pretty, pretty things indeed!

I immediately start pinning – Halloween ideas, clothes I like, stone pathway for my dream home, recipes I want to try…

Into the abyss I go. Those dishes and laundry will have to do themselves.

Lol, I get sucked into things like that all the time! My name is Melissa, and I’m and “interwebz” (as you so eloquently put it) addict. 🙂

  2. How did I miss all of these blog posts that you wrote?!

Aahh pinterest, where everyone pretends that they cook, sew, are insightful, have a house to make improvements and decorate, and a size 2 fashionista.

    • You nailed it! I haven’t been back on because it sort of got depressing to look at all these nice things for my dream home and dream wardrobe. I want to be a more crafty mom, I just don’t know how they actually find time to do any of that stuff. They’re not sitting on PIntrest, that’s for sure.

  3. Its true! Pintrest is addicting and you find the most insiring and unigue ideas on there. Love the site and encourage people to add it to their must-look-daily list 🙂
